Locally the eclipse begins at 2:03 PM EDT and ends at 4:32 PM EDT.  Maximum occurs at 3:19 PM with the Moon covering 82% of the Sun by diameter (78.4% by area).

If you've never seen totality I strongly advise you make the effort to travel to the path of totality which runs from Texas to Maine.  Seeing totality will awe you, 
and is far above what you will see just seeing the partial phases visible locally.  Many serious amateur astronomers will travel to the path to experience the awe.  

There won't be another Total Solar Eclipse with totality visible in the continental US until August 12, 2045.
